The Codes of Practice set out the principles of the Wiltshire Compact. Those who sign up to the Compact agree to work within this set of principles.

At the present time there are four codes on the following subjects:

Funding and procurement.

Equality and Diversity.

Volunteering.

Communication and Consultation.

The Wiltshire Compact Board has developed a Dispute Resolution Procedure for issues which are deemed to be a breach of the Compact principles. At the present time we are arranging for the procedure to be placed on-line, in the mean time if you have an issue which appears to be a breach of the Compact please contact us via our enquiry page once you have satisfied Step 1 of the process. We will then supply you with a copy of the procedure>>>

STEP 1: "Prior to bringing a complaint to the Compact Board, the complainant must have made an attempt to talk to someone within the organisation subject to the complaint. This may be done informally, or through the organisation's complaints procedure. The complainant should advise the other party that they believe that they have acted in a way which does not comply to the Compact or its Codes of Practice. Both parties should attempt to resolve the issues at an early stage.

If both parties are unable to resolve the matter at this stage the complainant should record (in writing) the actions taken, including details of who was approached in the organisation subject of the complaint."
