The Wiltshire Compact aims to improve the quality of life for people in Wiltshire. It will do this by improving partnership working arrangements and developing the understanding between the statutory and voluntary sector. LATEST NEWS---LATEST NEWS---LATEST NEWS 15 September 2008: COMPACT AND CODES UNDER REVIEW>>> At the next meeting of the Compact Board on Thursday 25th September 2008 work will commence on reviewing and upgrading the Wiltshire Compact and its' Codes of Practice. Board members will identify who is going to lead this work and who else needs to be involved. If you feel you are able to contribute to this process and would like to help out, please contact us via our contacts page. We will then be in touch to see how you can help. We look forward to hearing from you............ January 2008 - The Wiltshire Compact Board has appointed an independent Chair for the first time. Rex Webb, from Salisbury has been appointed to this role. He has experience of working in both the statutory and voluntary sectors. Rex says "I am exited to have been given the opportunity to Chair the Board. A lot of good work has gone into developing The Wiltshire Compact and it's codes of practice. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and being able to help the board to embed the Compact principles across the statutory and voluntary sector." | |||||
